Programs like conservation use valuation assessment (CUVA) covenants and Forest Land Protection (FLPA) covenants, as well as the new Qualified Timber Property (QTP) class, are options for landowners to take advantage of lower property taxes for a period of years when they intend to keep their land in its agricultural or timber use.
